Some non-1st child records are not getting date_time stamp

I have a child record table and as you can see in the pics the first child appears to be getting the time stamp, but the other children records do not. This is the standard date_time field created by fabrik on all lists, and I have not modified it other than to hide it from the list.

I can't replicate this just by adding child records.

The only thing I have noticed is if you add a record (with 2 child records). Then go back in the browser and re-submit the form then an empty child record is added, might that be what you are seeing?
