Regarding the trouble whit upload elements that get empty when you have validation errors.
I can see that this subject has been discussed before, but this also happens when you already has data in you database the going into the form to change something and then get another Validation error.
It should definitely be possible to still show the old upload element, and not lose old data when
if you just fix the new Validation error and save.
I can see that it's a bigger problem to fix so this works on a totaly new record.
But it should also be possible to cache the uploaded file and not loose them because of a validation error on another element. But this not my biggest problem here, biggest problem is that you will lose old data if you edit an old record whit an upload file then you get a Validation error because you do some changes that is not alowed, the fix it and then save.
The only way is to reload the page after the validation error to keep your old data, but most users wil think the data is lost.
