upload file problem

the system has always worked correctly
now presents the following problem:
file upload field works in backend but not in frontend
Upload file from administrator
login frontend profile: I see the file
edit (no changes), save: the file disappears

If it's working in the backend but not in the frontend:
Are you logged in as (super)admin in the frontend?
If not, it may be access restrictions.
If yes, it may be your Joomla template or some other 3rd party stuff breaking the fileupload JS.

BTW: your installation is pretty outdated (recent versions are Joomla3.9.3, php7...)

works in the backend but not in the frontend even with super user access
If it can be useful, I haven't changed the template and I haven't run any installations because it's a time that everything should work.
I can't upgrade php 7 because in another database of the same domain I have an unsupported plug in
