Using localised google map with GoogleMap

Hi,

the extension GoogleMap is based on the standard google map "maps.google.com". Is there a way to change this to a localized google map such as maps.google.es, maps.google.com.eg? which displays different languages.

Other map joomla extensions do have an entry field for that, I could not find this in the settings of GoogleMap.

according to the docs http://code.google.com/apis/maps/documentation/javascript/basics.html#Localization the map should already be tailored to the users language settings.
I just double checked that and indeed, chrome which is set to run in french for me shows maps.google.com in french.

Is there a reason you would want to override that language?
