Deprecated: mb_strtolower() on search

On a new joomla 4.2 site, with fabrik 4 gamma2 installed, no data. PHP 8.1 (ea-php81)
I created a new list and imported elements and data from CSV. Everything looks fine.
But when I use search (by element or search all) the following warning appears:

Deprecated: mb_strtolower(): Passing null to parameter #1 ($string) of type string is deprecated in /home2/fabula/public_html/libraries/vendor/joomla/string/src/phputf8/mbstring/core.php on line 114

And search results are not ok...

What do you mean with "search"?
List filters? Which ones?

"search all" and, in a field element "auto complete"
also in another field element with search filter "range"

Fix added for the next release.

BTW:
Deprecated messages are showing only if you have your J! error reporting level set to max.
Any notice/warning/System debug output etc. will break anything which needs an ajax update.
