• Fabrik V4.4.1 is now available.

    This version corrects the Admin issue introduced by V4.4. V4.4.1 is available through the Joomla Updater or for download through your My Downloads area of our website.

    Turns out a code change intended for our 5.0dev branch inadvertantly got pushed to the 4.x branch (by me, duh!). The javascript structure in 5.0 will change considerably and part of that change took effect with the inadvertant code change.

    We have reverted the code change and released 4.4.1. V4.4 has been retracted.

Has anyone built a document/file management system using Fabrik that would allow users to upload documents for publication on the site but allow admins to have oversight and approve/publish or reject/unpublish the files?

If anyone has built such a system, I would appreciate they get in touch with me.

The downloads section of the fabrikar.com site does something similar. You should check out the 'downloads' options of the file upload element.
It has an 'access' option which states an element which should contain the group id which can download the files.
So that element could default to 'super admin' for example, and only be editable by super admins, they would approve the file by editing this element to 'public' or 'registered' for example.
