In principle: the elements you want to show mustn't be hidden (the id element is).

Just coming back to your comment here. Does that mean if an element is hidden, its data can't be used if it's part of another calculation or something?
What's the accepted best method if it needs to be part of a calculation elsewhere, but you don't want it to be viewed? Would it be ACL or moving it to a hidden group in the form, or something else?

In general would you show all elements in the backend, then select the ones you need in the front in the Fabrik menu/module? I've always been a bit vague about this.

I think generally you can use it. But the content "view=element" plugin seems to be special, I didn't dig into it.
