Tabs in List View

Yes - I wrote an enhancement for this several months ago.
You need to define an element that will have your tabs values in it e.g. the first character of a surname, or containing the US state acronym of someones address such as NY or WA. Then in the List settings in Layout there is a Tab Field dropdown to select the field and settings for maximum no of tabs and whether you want an All tab.
You have to be using the bootstrap List template (also set on the Layout section).
