I recently created a search form following the instructions on:

But I did not manage to get the tags element to work with my search form. Is this a known limitation or a problem with my configuration?
There is however a workaround you can make by using the database join element:
1) Change the tags element you created according to the instructions to a database join element (Plug-in -> databsejoin)
2) On the "Data" -tab set the Table to '#__tags' or what ever is your tags table
3) Set Value to 'id'
4) Set Label to 'title'
5) Double check on the "Layout" tab the Enhanced Dropdowns being enabled ('Yes').
That should do it.
