You can not add fields to this list

I assume you have set "Alter field types" =no (in list/Advance settings or in Fabrik options/List).

When linking the View to the list I got the message that this setting of 'Alter field types' was automatically set to 'No'

Yes, it doesn't make sense to try to alter the structure of a MySQL view.
