Ajax loading unwanted iframe for custom edit but not for custom add

The problem is that, when not using a custom URL, the Add & Details don't load, and Edit only loads the first record regardless of which record actually selected. This forces me to use menu items and add a custom URL to that list, but that results in an iframe + menus,etc being loaded for Edit & Detail views (which also seems to not fit to the size of the popup box), yet Add loads and operates just fine.

Is there a way to prevent the iframe from being loaded or possibly something I've missed in the forums/wiki/tutorials?

Not sure what you mean. Can you point us at an example of the problem?

Sounds like something site specific. If this was a systemic issue, other people would be reporting it.
