database join as auto-complete some problem

I have an element where is database join as autocomplete.
This element has many records (about 6000) and from option "Auto-complete how" is setting as "Contains".
Does not work as i need, i mean i have to respect ecsacly the records or on each space nothing have to show me.
I dont know where is the problem, but i notice that, before a month ago was work properly.
Something change?

I'm not sure what the problem is you are describing, "respect ecsacly the records or on each space nothing".

Do you mean it'll only complete properly if you type the entire word / phrase?
