Date element - How to allow calendar selection but prevent typing date

Hello all.
I have several date elements in my Fabrik forms. Some of my users have been typing in their own dates (instead of selecting the calendar). So, then these users sometimes type in the incorrect format. Is there a way to prevent the user from typing in the anything in the date field and only allowing the popup calendar to pick dates; which would then always equal valid date input?

Hello Hugh.
I was just reminded today by a user as to why I allowed users to type in the Date element. There is a need to remove dates that were mistakenly added. They asked if I could add a button beside the date element that would clear the date element so that I can leave typing restricted. So, is something like that possible, Hugh?

It might be possible to add, but it's not something I can do as part of subscription support, it's have to be billable work.
