Fabrik pages have become very slow

Hi,

I have been using fabrik for the site www.scrbbihar.gov.in. There are now almost 10000 records in one of the table. But issue is that now adding, filtering or viewing has become nightmare.

Every page is so slow that it take ages for them to load.

How can I rectify this?

Fabrik is capable of handling tables with tens of millions of rows. Issues with slow loading are usually down to configuration problems, like missing indexes.

I can't give you a canned answer, as it could be a number of issues.

Do you use any CDD (cascading dropdowns)? If so, are you using a unique field as the foreign key?

Are you filtering on any database joins, and if so are you using the "show all" or "recorded data" method?

The best way to start, is enable J! debugging, and look at the profile for a slow page. That will usually tell you where the time is going. and if you copy and paste the problematic parts of the profile, I could hazard a guess as to the cause.
