is it possible to suppress messages when adding a record from list?

when adding a record from a list via the 'add' button, it redirects to the list after submission and displays the 'record added' message even though i have 'suppress messages' set to 'yes' in the forms parameters.

is it possible to suppress these message when adding a record via the 'add' button in a list?

fabrik: 3.0.4-198 (stuck on this version due to this issue)
joomla: 2.5.4

Are you using a redirect plugin, or just relying on us picking up the HTTP_REFERER and defaulting our redirect to that?

I don't have the code handy at the moment, but I have a feeling that 'suppress messages' only works in conjunction with a redirect plugin.
