link element not loading page in mediabox in administrator area

hello,

clicking on a link generated by the 'link' element plugin in administrator area causes media box to load but no page loads. the source shows the following (in the head code):

"<a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\" rel=\"lightbox[mediabox 800 600]\">test<\/a>"

and in the body:

<a href="https://www.google.com" rel="lightbox[mediabox 800 600]">test</a>

chrome > developer tools > console shows this for url's in the format:

mail.google.com

'Resource interpreted as Image but transferred with MIME type text/html: "https://mail.google.com/"'.

firebug > console doesn't show any results.

database values seem ok eg:

{"label":"test","link":"https://www.google.com"}

element settings attached.

try with a different url and in the front end. I have a vaugue recollection that google.com doesnt like to load in the mediabox

hi rob, yes i had the same thought and tried a different url, same result.

and can't access in frontend yet as having trouble with viewing records.

i'll post back after testing frontend.

just tested frontend and with another link and it is showing the same result ie content not loading. will test later today with more access level checking etc.

ok this is not too clear, but you have to set fabrik to use media box rather than the lightbox:

go to components->fabrik->lists
select options
select the javascript tab and select yes for 'Use mediabox instead of slimbox'

ok, thanks very much, i can get links showing now. for reference, youtube, facebook and google do not load in mediabox.

Hmm, looks like it might be something to do with the redirects on those sites.
