Modal Form Print Without Window in Background

Hi All - hope someone can point me in the right direction.

I have details view that shows in modal window and when I click print it shows the main browser window behind the modal window of the form. How do I stop this so that the print function only prints the form?

Where do you "click print"?
Form button?
Browser function?

This occurs both when printing from the browser or by clicking on the printer icon on the form details view.

Thanks for looking into. The best work-around I have found is to "open in new tab" when clicking on print icon, then click on print icon again which then prints okay without background. Not ideal but workable.

Yup. The problem is, the modal windows aren't really "windows", they are just DOM objects, which happen to float above the rest of the DOM, and can be moved. So as far as the browser's print function is concerned, they are just another div on the page.
