need custom folders with ajax upload

I need a folder created, preferably with the date YYYYMMDD for every new row of a folder. Seems like I could get it to work without ajax upload but I need it so that the client can upload 30 images at a time. Tried using $_system date placeholder but it didn't work since it creates a new folder for each image. From what I read in another post ajax uploads to not support regular fabrik {tablename___element} placeholders. I tried them and it didn't work either.

Solved! Hugh added a new placeholders {date} and {mysql_date}. I used {date} for YYYMMDD.
