Printout of the form for users

Hi community,
what i need to know is, how to let the user print his filled out form.
Before or after submission, all i've found is this thread from 2010

Can't understand this answer

Has it changed for now, or can you help me with a detailed explanation?

Am using a custom details template for print (printview)

Nothing has changed. Redirect to a details view, and let them print that.

"index.php?option=com_fabrik&view=detail&fabrik=X&rowid={rowid}"

doesn't work.

Try:
option=com_fabrik&view=details&formid=x&rowid={rowid}
(where x is your form id)

For me, this one is the best.
index.php?option=com_fabrik&view=details&formid=1&rowid={rowid}

Ooops, sorry, I didn't notice the fabrik=X, that's a 1.x thing. So yeah, formid=X.

Hi hugh,
thanks a lot once more. Be close to go live, as an absolute beginner in Joomla and Fabrik.
Everything is working fine, i have to learn a lot, that's for sure, but with your help here in the community
