Remote Db Connection

A client has a remote database we need to connect to for lists, and joins.

What do I use in the Connections form to point to a remote database?
What database systems will Fabrik link to?

Your remote database server (with a mysql database) must allow remote connections.

Then add a Fabrik connection and fill in the necessary infos (host, user, password).

Are there any examples of what the form looks like with a remote connection?
I can't find it in the documentation.

In the Connections tab on the back end, add your connection. We only support MySQL (or MariaDB).

Then you can create a new List, select your new connection, and choose the table you want to build your list on.

we need to connect to for lists, and joins.

Keep in mind that you can't do crossjoining, i.e. you can't use a list on one DB and join to a list on the other one or use a dbjoin element pointing to the other DB.
