[SOLVED] Change order... make a clone element?

I entered a set of elements, Edit one, and for example, change it's order. VG. Edit the last 11, and set order 3. As a result, put it on 3 order but also, create a new one, and put it on the original order 11.

It is? or am I doing something wrong??

Thank you for those informative screenshots.

I assume it didn't create a new element but moved the element "tecnica" with id=20 from trash back to view.
Is this possible? What are the groups in your elements listing (they are just cut off).

"tecnica" (id=10) is moved as expected, tecnica (id=20) is a linked (=child) element which is modified automatically if it's parent (tecnica id10) is modified and so changing it's status from trashed to the parent's status "published".

I can replicate this behaviour.

For changing the element order you don't need to edit the element. A click on the ^v column (beside the id column) will enable the drag/drop option: you can drag/drop the element to it's position.

OK, this should be fxied as of this commit:

Added 'published' (and 'checked_out_time') to the list of fields we don't update in the child elements when saving a parent.
