textarea - problem with linebreak in emails

Hi,

i have a textarea field without wysiwyg (jce doesnt work properly, but more about that later) in my form. users fill it out with linebreaks (return key). the form is sent via email and stored in a database table.

Textarea input and database content:

- Bezeichnung 1
- Bezeichnung 2
- Bezeichnung 3
- Bezeichnung 4

Send via email:

- Bezeichnung 1- Bezeichnung 2- Bezeichnung 3- Bezeichnung 4

Could you please tell me, how to fix it? Maybe there's a function like "nl2br()" missing or something of this kind.

it's the "email form to" mail.

Are you using WYSYWIG on the textarea?

i'm using a plain textarea without wysiwyg-editor

OK ... 'cos I just found that HTML formatting from the WYSIWYG is being detroyed, at least on my test server. So I can submit a form with WYSYIWYG'ed textarea, submit it, edit it again, and all formatting has been lost.

I'll have to come back to this one next week, have to head out for the weekend now.

Are you using a template, or the default text output?
