Update suggestion for hacked site

Hi,
my website was hacked today and my provider told me that the hacker attack comes from a fabrik_elements plugin.
I have joomla 3.6 and fabrik 3.3.
I can't update all to the latest version because the website is too complex.
Is there a newer Fabrik version that i can use (i mean compatible) with my joomla version? I hope in this way i can patch the security issue.

That vulnerability was fixed in Fabrik 3.7 (we're now on 3.8).

I think Fabrik 3.8 will work OK on J! 3.6, although I haven't tried it.

Hi, but the fabrik website is broken? all pages give the 404 now

Well, the obvious answer is to restore from a backup, but I'm assuming you would already have done so if you had a backup. And honestly, if you are running a site which hasn't been updated for several major revisions of J! and Fabrik, and aren't backing it up ... there's not much I can do to help.

You could try uploading the content of the J! 3.6 full package:

https://downloads.joomla.org/us/cms/joomla3/3-6-5

... by unzipping it and ftp'ing everything except the install folder.
