Databasejoin in a list with repeat group

Hello,

I have a list that includes a repeat group.
ie: company joined to location (repeatable)

In this list I have several elements including 2 databasejoin elements
ie: company__status and location__status

it works perfect until I put the ACL setting 'editable = nobody' on my databasejoin elements location__status. Doing that, each time I save an existing list all the values for my databasejoin element (that are in 'display', because of ACL) are lost.

Any idea?

Hello Rob,

seems you fixed something in this commit: "fixed: saving readonly elements in repeat groups, was removing previously stored data"

However it still does not really work for me. For the readonly element (ACL=nobody):
1) Databasejoin element: the value in each repeatgroup is replaced by the one of the last repeatgroup
2) Field/text area element: the text is replaced by 'A' or 'q', something that looks like random

I've added a comment on that commit, and re-opened the ticket.

I'm in the middle of moving house over the next few days, otherwise I'd jump in and take a look right now.

I created a simple test scenario to help
this is just a company / location one to many relation
you will see the current situation and what I get after clicking on 'save' a first time and a second time

you will also notice that after the update the field for company has the information about the first location! It seems the data are shifting up
