Java works fine in FireFox not in Internet Explorer

Another update ... after much head scratching, I realized that Rob had already applied a fix for this, but there was a bug in his fix. I've just tested my fix to Rob's fix, which so far seems to be working.

Committing the fixed fix to SVN now.
