Sorting column

Hi guys,

I have a situation where I need to display numerical data with the character "A" prefixed, but sort it in the numerical order. So I have A100, A200, A300, etc. can be up to A20,000 or more.

I have a SQL column with the numerical data and another varchar column with the "A" prefixed, which is displayed. But this does not sort well <g>

I don't see a way to do this, but it's quite possible I'm missing something! Any ideas? Many thanks in advance!

I reckon it's a list where the numerical data element is hidden... however, it's still there and you should still be able to order the list by it: http://fabrikar.com/forums/index.php?wiki/list-edit/#data
If it doesn't work because you've disabled "Show in list", it should work again when enabling "Include in list query": http://fabrikar.com/forums/index.php?wiki/elements/#list-view-settings-tab
